Pete

Pete and Scruffy ( sadly deceased) were formerly owned by a very kind couple, Bob and Vicki, in Bowlus, MN.

Scruffy was born in the Spring of 2014 and was abandoned by his mother at birth. He also had an injury on his leg that gave him a 50/50 chance of ending up lame. The farmer who owned Scruffy decided that he wasn't worth the time or money to raise, so he scheduled him to be slaughtered. 

Bob and Vicki, seeing the calf tied to a tree, offered to buy Scruffy. They bottle fed and cared for him until he was healed. 

Three months later, Bob and Vicki received another call from the farmer saying he had another calf that had similar issues and was headed for slaughter. They adopted Pete and bottle fed him the way they had done with Scruffy. 

The boys grew out of their 1/2 acre yard. Bob and Vicki, wanted to do what was best for these boys, found them a new home at Spring Farm Sanctuary. They arrived on June 14, 2017!
