Hank

Hank is a Broad breasted white turkey and was found wandering a neighborhood in New Hope. He is the breed of turkey that is raised in a factory farm.  Hank most likely fell off a truck. He is now about one year old. Turkeys like Hank are eaten when they are just 3-6 months old.

We brought Hank to the Vet and he weighed in at 54 pounds. His ideal weight is around 40-45 lbs. He has been on a healthy diet, with lots of fresh produce and is down to 47 lbs. He loves his new friend Timmy who keeps him company on his many walks. His favorite snacks have included mixed greens, tomatoes, blueberries and watermelon.
